Luis S. Canete is an LA based American casting director and producer that works in Los Angeles, New York and Europe. He is an active member of the Casting Society of America and the Television Academy (Emmys).

He has worked on films such as Super Troopers, Knight & Day and The Cold Light of Day and produced video content for the Moving Pictures Video Lounge at the TriBeCa Film Festival. He recently wrote, directed and produced his first short film called Sad Sally’s Peering Plan which garnered several awards in the film festival circuit and premiered at the LA Film Festival. He is producing Honorary Male, a drag queen led comedy, starring Margaret Cho slated to shoot in 2024. And a horror thriller titled Aideen starring Emma Dumont, to be filmed in Europe by the talented UK director, Brad Watson.

Luis has also worked as the International Casting Director for a European series called Glow & Darkness starring Jane Seymour, a feature called Remember Me with Bruce Dern and Brian Cox, and was also fortunate to have been the Casting Associate on the Oscar® nominated HBO Film, Maria Full of Grace.
